Stereotypes

Stereotypes are generalizations, or assumptions, that people make about the characteristics of all members of different groups or nationalities, based on an image (often wrong) about what people in that group are like.

Watch the following video where people in the street answer the question, ‘What are Americans like?’

Now watch another video where the question is ‘What are the British like?’
